Latest Update...

Brayden is 7 1/2 months old now, and boy is he feeling his age! Luisa (through the help of a Cuban-born friend of mine) had a lot to say:

Before, his upper tooth was trying to come through, but I guess it never did because she said he has his two bottom front teeth now, and he has expanded his diet. In addition to taking 6 oz of formula every 2 1/2 to 3 hours, he gets bananas or cereal in the morning, and for lunch, he eats pureed veggies and sometimes chicken.

He has also made great strides in his physical development. He can turn over and sit up by himself, and he now sleeps on his tummy (yeah! Hopefully, no more flat head!). He is even taking some steps--I presume holding on to things, not independently. He waves bye-bye and blows kisses...too cute!

He went to the doctor August 3rd, and he weighed 17 lbs and is 27.6 inches long. She said the 6-9 month clothes fit him very well, but his size 2 shoes are TOO tight now! I'll have to send some new sneakers this week; we know how important shoes are in Guat!

It was comforting to hear his voice...
to relish in his laughter...
to hold on to the hope that he will be with us soon...

Sabrina~
I hope it is ok to leave a comment on your post. You have not given me your blog address however I tracked you down through your comment on mine. I have so enjoyed reading your previous entries. You are such a strong and faithful woman and you have uplifted me in so many ways. I am delighted to hear that Brayden is happy, healthy and that your are able to talk to his foster family through this process. That is such a blessing. Please know that I partner with you in praying that your most handsome son is home very, very soon !
God Bless~
Julie
