Does Sr. Barrios read my blog???
I highly doubt it, but he did follow my advice and make us officially Brayden's parents!
Friday was difficult because I knew it was the last opportunity we had until Tuesday to get out, so when it came and went without any information, I resolved to buck up and keep a good attitude.
We had gone for an evening of dinner and bowling (with some intense air hockey in between), and I kept that cell phone glued to my side. I had all bases covered--home answering machine, giving clear instructions to call the cell. Alas, no call.
When I awoke this morning, I checked my email, but nothing. A few hours later, I checked it again, and the opening line was, "Congratulations! Your case has been approved by the PGN!" I calmly walked to my husband in the living room, and when I saw the fear in his face that I somehow had horrible news, I just burst out, "We're OUT!" I had imagined a much different kind of announcement, but it was quite appropriate for the situation. I have a t-shirt I made many months ago that subtly conveys the message, but I forgot about it until right now...
Forget "THE PERFECT" announcement. The triumphant shout "WE"RE OUT!" says everything I need to say.
