The Tide Has Turned...

He will play and laugh with us, and as of this morning, he actually looks happy to see us! I have begun to make changes (I promise to move slowly and not overwhelm him), starting with sleep. He is used to being held ALL the time, and to go to sleep, you have to hold him in cradle position and bounce, all the while making a deep ´boom´. Well, thats all fine and dandy until he falls asleep and I try to lay him down. Immediately, he pulls at me and whines for me to pick him up again. He woke up this morning around 4:45 for a bottle and didn´t want me to lay him down. I layed down beside him and let him roll around the grab at my face, and I just patted him on the rear and hummed softly. It wasn´t long before he fell right to sleep...

The next obstacle will be the temperature. He drinks HOT formula--I mean the temperature nearly that would come from a coffee pot (oh yeah...they gave him coffee in the morning...with sugar in it...I refuse to do that one!). I would like to start to cut it back gradually until he is drinking room temperature.

Here, the crib is not an option because it is rickity and he needs to feel some assurance that things are alright, but I hope (and PRAY!) it won´t be as difficult transitioning him to his crib at home as I think it might.

Enjoy the pics below...the girl who loaned me the USB goes home tomorrow...

Look especially at the one with him in a high chair holding a toy; notice my bright idea about how NOT to have to retrieve the toy a million times!

Oh yes--Thank goodness for Burger King! I don´t like hamburgers, but I devoured that Junior Whopper with great gusto...the restaurant food is too ´high class´ for me!
