Quite a Scare...

So we're at breakfast this morning, and Brayden had already eaten his cereal and banana. We were giving him little bites of our food--egg and jello. I had been taking the thick part of my apple and letting him get a taste. Well, he must have gotten more than a taste because the next thing we know, he is choking. The high chairs here are dangerous, and the baby has to be tied in using a long piece of fabric. We hurried to untie it from behind and get him out. It soon became evident that he was not able to get it up or down by himself, so we had to take active measures to eliminate it.

Let's just say I am sooooo glad I learned the Heimlic maneuver for infants. I recommend that everyone take a course or brush up on your skills because you never know when one of these little ones will need it.

Feeling VERY thankful today (and stupid for giving him apple...)
