Yesterday was just plain hard. We were exhausted by the time we arrived at the Crowne Plaza (an okay hotel, but there is a smell reminiscent of a nursing home), so we expected a few hours to rest and freshen up before Luisa and Amanda arrived with Brayden...WRONG!
They came at 2:00, just as I was in the lobby trying to get help calling the GT post office (long story--no resolution yet), and I was so shocked to see them! He looks just as he did when we visited in April, with the exception of some width and height. He was charming and cuddly and perfect...until...
Night came and they left. He cried. No, he screamed until he was drenched with sweat and ready to throw up. After a few hours, however, he settled into sleep around 10:00 and woke only once during the night. At 6:00, he woke up (not crying but still definitely not thrilled to see me!). I have tried to follow the daily schedule they outlined for us, but I know it´s just going to take him some time to adjust.
Oh, for those of you who pay attention to detail, yes, they were here from 2:00 until after 8:00, which wasn´t a problem because I like them very well, but my Spanish is terrible, and they speak no English and (here´s the kicker) the translator didn´t show for a few hours). So needless to say, much of our time was spent smiling in silence :-]
I can´t show any pictures right now because I can´t find a computer that accepts my SD card--I promise to keep trying!
