Freeze Dried Food???

Our boy eats REALLY WELL. He gets lots of whole grains, fruits, veggies, meats. He likes a variety of textures and tastes, and I have yet to find a food he won't eat.

With that being said, he is addicted to freeze dried food--specifically, corn. I know it sounds gross, but Gerber makes apples, bananas, strawberries, and corn for little ones to pick up and eat themselves.

The obsession began when we needed a way to divert his attention from OUR food: the fried, unhealthy junk that we shouldn't be eating, either. He began to hound us for some, so we began to give him finger foods to appease him, instead.

I wasn't sure he would care for it, so I only bought one bag of each, but at this point, I should take stock in the stuff. I believe he would eat as much of it as we would give him.

It's okay, right? The only ingredient is the fruit or veggie. No preservatives or artificial flavors. It's just dehydrated.

I learned a valuable lesson, though. He ate the soup I made yesterday evening (with lots of corn) and then he had the freeze dried stuff. What goes in must come out, and our bodies give that back in its entirety...
