The Promise

It was 74 degrees today. Wow! What a wonderful blessing in the middle of winter--to see a glimpse of spring. It's just like God to do that--to remind us that he can bring life from a dead situation. The trees look lifeless, and the ground is hard and unfruitful, but come March or April, tender buds will dot those brittle branches, and fragrant Easter lilies will dapple the landscape.

Martin Luther wrote, "Our Lord has written the promise of the resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf at springtime."






So here is Brayden, unhappily bundled to go out in the snow we had last week. Maybe he is thinking ahead to warmer times...
