I simply handed him his bottle the other day in the car, and to my surprise, he drank about half of it holding it himself. This is a real triumph considering he staunchly refused in the past...I think he heard that his baby cousin, less than a week old at the time, held his!

Brayden isn't the prettiest of sleepers--he sweats terribly, and his eyes are often open, darting back and forth--but he is a snuggly one! He loves to cuddle and be held; however, we have been successful in getting him to fall asleep by laying down with him. Score for us!

Oh my goodness... he hasn't wanted to hold his own bottle?! What a funny guy! We had a friend whose son did that, too. The father would be driving a car and holding a bottle in the kids mouth (reaching to the back seat!). We figured if the kid was thirsty he'd hold his own drink... but both our kids were definitely thirsty enough to hold their own! Brayden might just have been enjoying and soaking up the bonding time! Good for you for giving it to him and letting him move to independence now that he's getting ready!!!
