Stayin' Busy...

I feel summer ending all too quickly, and with it, I realize that Brayden will never again be two years old. While I look forward to the years to come, I want to have as many memories of my baby as he experiences new things. I am trying to pack a lot into summer because it is so hard to do extra activities when the school year starts (soon!).

Recently, we visited our local amusement park (which he probably won't find enjoyable when he is very much older :-]). He rode all of the kiddie rides, and even a few of the larger ones. He even rode his first roller coaster! When the ride ended, I asked hesitantly, "So, what did you think?" I expected him to give his standard I-don't-like-that answer of "That's icky," but instead he asked for more...

We met Isaac and Chloe, and while she wanted no part of riding anything, she loved cotton candy. That girl can sure eat. I imagine we can have a hot dog eating contest with those two--watch out, Kobayashi! (sp?). Isaac liked the rides, but he did NOT want back into the haunted house. We suspect he only rode it because Brayden did, but in Isaac's defense, Brayden didn't realize how scary it could be.

Last night, we watched Thomas and Friends Live. Now, picture this: Brayden totally still and silent for 90 minutes. I seriously don't believe the child would have spoken at all if we would not have prodded for reaction. He watched my video of the performance all the way through a few times today, recalling his favorite parts--Thomas crashing into a chicken coop/Harold coming to help/the scantily clad acrobat from the circus.

Good times!

Love the slide show. We haven't got Dylan to CP yet, don't know if we will make it this year or not. The Thomas show looked very impressive, too.

On a side note, my Aunt Willa Ruth graduated with your mom, and she is having herself a big 60th birthday bash. She needs your mom's address to send the invitation, so if you could email it to me, I would appreciate it very much. Thanks.
