The miraculous transformation of the limited caterpillar into the majestic, fluttery butterfly is a good analogy to use with our Baylie Jae. All parents experience this, I am sure, but we are in awe at the changes she has undergone these three weeks.
She has settled so well into our home with her easy personality and bubbly giggles. And when do babies grow? Certainly when we are not looking because her newborn clothes MIGHT make it through this week. A few are already in the donation pile.
She has been congested for a few days, so I called the pediatrician and asked if we could move her well baby visit to today (which actually makes it a sick baby visit). Thank the Lord she tested negative for RSV and the flu. She is now 8.9 lbs and 20.5 inches long.
I can't say the same for her daddy who has a high fever, chills, body aches, congestion, runny nose, coughing, sneezing and fatigue. :-]
