Domingo...oops! I mean Sunday

+++FYI: The older lady in the picture is Amanda, the foster mom. The younger girl is her granddaughter Luisa (for whom Luis Carlos was named), and the boy is Mauricio, her grandson who has taught Brayden to love the guitar.

It´s strange how this place becomes so normal after just a few days. At first, the people look different...the food doesn´t taste like usual...the atmosphere is strange...but now, it seems just as right to say ¨buen dia¨ as as it does ¨good morning.¨

Last night was an up and down fiasco. His nose is so stuffy (even though we have used NO air conditioning, as evidenced by our constant sweating!) that every time I´d lay him down to sleep, he would be unable to breathe and wake up moments later. Today, I saw part of the problem--Luisa and Flor came to visit, and it was his naptime. She ¨boomed¨ him to sleep, which is quite intensive I might add, and then she held him for the next two hours. He is used to someone holding him and rubbing his hair or massaging his feet or--you name it. He has been quite pampered and, I´ll be the first to say it, SPOILED.

The good news is that I think he actually likes us now. It´s not the I´ll-tolerate-you-if-I-have-to kind of attitude, but a genuine affinity...Could it be that ¨good morning¨ is beginning to sound normal to him?

Oh,Sabrina he is soooo beautiful! I can't wait to get my hands on this little grandson and add just a "little" bit to the spoiling that Luis and Amanada has already started. I'm so anxious to get you all home and to see our little family altogether. Hope to see you soon. Give Brayden a kiss for me and tell him that MaMa and PaPa loves him. Isn't God good!!!

Hey Sabrina,
He is beautiful! I can't wait until you bring him home. I miss you so much, and it is definately not the same without you at school. Mom said she is sorry that she didn't get to talk to you before you left at church, but everyone was so upset. Mom says that she loves you, and she is praying for you all, and she can't wait to see Brayden. We all love you and can't wait untill you get home.
