False alarm...

I was so disappointed! I checked my email on my planning period at school, and I had received an email with the title of Referrral. I always predetermine when I think certain milestones should occur in this process, and I am sure to budget extra time "just in case." So I'm figuring that we should receive a referral sometime mid January, after our dossier is complete and we receive our I-71H. Imagine my elation when I receive six pictures and several legal documents for baby Antony. I emailed the director of CCI, our adoption agency, excited that this step had already arrived. To my great disappointment, it was a mistake...he was for someone else, and we were still stuck in the paperwork stage.

But...it was a great reminder to me that this process is more than just a paperchase--

there will be a baby on the other end...
