While we have formally accepted Brayden's referral, we're still waiting for documents to be finalized and our dossier to be sent to Guatemala. THEN, our 4-6 month wait begins. I read posts from other adopting families, and many have a much longer wait; my heart aches for them because, like us, they began this journey with this time frame in mind. Reminder to self: In His time.
I would really like to visit him on my spring break, April 8th. That would help to break up the time although I am aware that leaving him will be unbearable. But I know that there is no other option. I could sit here and wait or go there and get to see him and touch him and (as my sister continues to discuss) smell him.
My poor husband is trying to discourage a visit because he has to deal with me afterward...
Praying for April to come!
