From our visit trip April 2007
On this day last year, Jason sent me flowers to work with a message from Brayden, encouraging me to not lose hope because he would one day be home with us. That time seems so long ago for me on an emotional level; as soon as we became his legal parents and went to get him, the years of pain literally melted. Right now, he is sleeping on the living room floor with his daddy. I could not imagine anything on earth could be better.
Brayden is blessed to have a host of mothers who love him--his biological mother who loved him so much that she made a life plan for him; Amanda, Flor and Luisa who mothered him for nine months while we waited for the adoption to finalize; his grandmothers who babysit during the week and have become such vital parts of his life. He will never lack for maternal attention.
A Amanda, Flor y Luisa:
El Día de la Madre Feliz a nuestra familia querida en Guatemala. Gracias por es tales madres buenas a Brayden.
