We wait to find out when Brayden's birth mother signed for the final time; for his new birth certificate proudly displaying his new last name; for the authorization of the second DNA test; for the results of said test; to be submitted to the Embassy for an appointment; for the date of said appointment; and finally for the VISA to be issued. Then, he comes home!
At some point in the midst of this, I hope to travel early and spend some time with him as he makes the transition. Then, Jason, and both grandmothers will visit his birth country as the final steps are completed. If all goes as well, I will have a week and a half or so with him, and they will spend about a week there. I don't think we could afford much more than that!
I called last week and was surprised to find out that they have been fostering a four month old, Raul Eduardo, since birth. Luisa said Brayden doesn't like to hear him cry, and he gets mad at him for making such noise!
She also said they point to the airplanes as they fly overhead and explain to him that he will be going home on one of those. Sometimes he laughs, and sometimes he crys. Hmm...
We have been finishing his room and have started his playroom--BRIGHT green, purple and yellow. It's really color overload! From the road, the room literally glows at night when the light is on...I hope he likes it!
We could be down to the final weeks!
I can't believe it could be just a week or two before I get to travel down.
